Look at this face and take a guess who runs the show around here.
A couple of mornings ago, after reading a particular book about a half dozen times, David asked me to leave the kitchen (where I was making bread), and read it to him again. I calmly explained (showing my sticky hands) that I couldn't, but that he might go read it to himself.
I congratulated myself, when instead of crying because he wanted me to read it (he is only two and is wont tantrum on occasion), he quietly left the kitchen to read his book.
I kept kneading.
Then, out of the blue, in strides David chiming, "Mommy is lucky boy! Mommy is lucky boy!"
?
I look down to see the book and he says, "David sharing with mommy," and then with a triumphant smile and a plop of the book on the counter, "Read it!"
Well. I did.
